Our logo design process is
streamlined and quite efficient. We try to capture as much
information from the client as possible during the order
process. Information related to the company, any core values,
target audience, competitors etc is gathered during this
phase.Once the order
comes through and designer is assigned to the project, that
logo designer would then analyse the information provided by
the client and if in doubt calls the client and has a phone
discussion about the missing details. The logo designer then
starts out with research into the company, the industry and
the design styles that the client may have suggested.
Over the years we have
gathered a lot of information on a lot of industries and the
logo designer hits this database first. The most important
thing that we focus is not pretty graphics but on the message.
How does the client like to be perceived by their target
audience? What kind of message are they hoping to deliver etc.
The second phase starts with
the logo designer sketching and doodling ideas. These ideas
are then distilled and the design picks up several possible
directions to take forward. He or she might then enlist the
help of other designers in the company to either review or
help brainstorm the various directions.
The third phase, once the
direction has been nailed down is for the logo designer to
start working with Adobe Illustrator to lay down the
foundation of the designs and concepts. Some times hand
sketched concepts are scanned and converted into vector format
to be tweaked.
The next stage is colouring
and fine tuning the designs. Once this has been done the
concepts are then posted on the studio floor for the client to
review. The client might then call the designer directly to
find out more about what each of the concept means and what
kind of messages are being broadcasted.

The client then
reviews the concepts and selects a concept to go forward with.
He or she might then request changes to the selected concept.

After revisions
and once the client is happy with the final design (number of
revisions depends on the package selected), the logo is
finalized and the final files are prepared.
